About Tess Daly


Tess Daly born on 27 April 1971 in Stockport, Greater Manchester, England, is a famous television presenter. She is the daughter of Vivian and his wife Sylvia and was raised in Birch Vale near New Mills, Derbyshire. Tess Daly attended Hayfield Primary School and completed her ‘O’ Levels from New Mills School. Tess Daly married Vernon Kay, a British television presenter, DJ and former model from Bolton, England, in September 2003. She gave birth to a daughter, Phoebe Elizabeth Kay, on 17 October 2004 in Westminster.


Tess Daly left her ‘A’ Levels studies and stepped into the modelling world. She has also made several appearances in both magazines and pop videos. In 1990, Tess Daly was offered the chance to be a part of two video songs, "Serious" and "Violence of Summer” for the album Liberty of Duran Duran, a famous English band. She also appeared in the video song "Sweet Harmony" for The Beloved, a well-known British electronic dance music group. After working as a model for several years, Tess Daly made debut into the small screen by hosting Find Me A Model competition for Channels 4’s The Big Breakfast. Since then, she presented several TV shows like Singled Out, Smash Hits TV, SMTV Live, Back To Reality and The National Lottery: This Time Tomorrow. Tess Daly also presented the first series of Make Me A Supermodel with Dave Berry, a British television presenter and former model from Charlton and co-hosted Strictly Come Dancing with Bruce Forsyth, a BAFTA award-winning showman and entertainer. She presented ‘Children In Need’, an annual British charity appeal organized by BBC, on 14 November 2008, with Terry Wogan, a well-known Irish radio and television presenter and Fearne Cotton, a famous English presenter. Tess Daly also hosted the special version of Strictly Come Dancing with Anton Du Beke, a professional ballroom dancer and television presenter. Tess Daly was voted as one of the top ‘Yummy Mummies’ by Yummy Mummy, a campaign organized in September 2005 to support Clic Sargent, a prominent children's cancer charity in the UK.
During her spare time, she likes to watch matches played by her favourite football club, Bolton Wanderers, with her husband.
